So who are you then?

Retina Photography is the business name for the photographer Steve Hughes. I'm the one propping up the page by the way. I live in Portsmouth, Hampshire, but provide photographic services within the UK in general.

You'll see from the galleries section (you have been there haven't you?) that my photographic style could be considered informal. I want subjects, that's you by the way, to feel as much at ease as possible. So between us we will find a way to help you to relax enough to at least tolerate the lens pointing in your general direction. I want us to enjoy our time together!

I also look after the 'Weekend Passions' blog (there's a link at the top of the page). This is a year long project to photograph friends, family, colleagues and the good folks of, mainly, Hampshire (UK) and the surrounding area involved in a sport, event, pastime, hobby or even a part-time occupation that they are 'passionate' about.
