A few of the more common questions answered.
To book a shoot, drop me an email via the contact page or call me on 07746 079511. If you email, be sure to include your phone number, date you'd like to book and what kind of session you’re interested in.
I’m based in Portsmouth, Hampshire, but I photograph all over the UK. Most of my sessions are undertaken at locations my clients choose, indoors or out. If you choose somewhere that is not your home, bear in mind that prior approval may be necessary. If you’d like to be photographed in your home, I’ll be glad to meet you there. For dogs, outdoor locations are very popular, especially somewhere that your pet is familiar with.
You can expect to see your pictures online no later than two weeks after our shoot. It’s usually sooner, but when I’m busy with shooting, two weeks is usually about right. As soon as they’re ready, I’ll email you a link and confirm their availability by telephone.
Session fees are due at the time of the shoot. You can pay with cash, cheque or request an electronic invoice (Paypal) in advance. Payment for prints and frames will be due at the time of collection or delivery.
My session fees cover my time, including travel, up to a distance of thirty miles, creative vision and retouching expertise. For distances over thirty miles, please discuss options with me at the time of booking. Prints, frames, canvases or other methods of display, where not included in a package, are sold separately, but are reasonably priced.
All sessions include a number of selected images for use on Facebook or a mobile phone. These images are low-resolution digital files meant for on-screen viewing only. Each picture will include a small, 'Retina Photography', watermark. These images may not be altered or cropped in any way.
A CD of images is not automatically included with each session. However, you may purchase one for an additional cost.
Portrait sessions are unique to you, so bring whatever you want to match your personality, style and look. Bring a pet, even if it's not a pet portrait session, your favourite teapot or a rubber chicken if that's what floats your boat!
I own the copyright on all images taken in all sessions. That means photos may not be used, printed, distributed or shared without the explicit permission of Retina Photography. Please contact me direct for usage rights.
